Adèle Garbutt, Doh Ayay!
Short Film
"Doh Ayay!" is an experimental documentary piece presented on a curtain full of blood. The piece sheds light on the lives of Burmese youths, as they resist the military junta. Combining archival footage with raw and intimate interviews, the film captures the resilience, courage, and hope of these young individuals amidst political turmoil and uncertainty. Some of the footage, capture by citizens of Myanmar from the Visual Rebellion Organisation working within the country, provides an authentic and unfiltered glimpse into the realities faced by the youth. This is a journey across silent borders, where the voices of these Burmese youth resonate loud with stories of struggle, resistance and resilience.
