Giacomo Tanner, Nails

Giacomo's work, entitled "Nails," will abstract and exaggerate discomforting themes, to create an abstracted visual narrative, exaggerating fear through symbolism. Alongside this, Giacomo toys with audio to immerse a viewer into the disconcerting state of phobia, heightening and intensifying awkward and unpleasant soudns alongside the soudn of interviewees explaining why their fear concerns them. Finally, he will explore the idea of abstracting a phobia so intensely to the where it no longer is, so that a viewer is able to see something grotesque into something beautiful.
